I captured this view down the Cutler River as it wends its way into Pinkham Notch. I was bounding through the snow down Tuckerman Ravine Trail. My side of the Notch was already in shadow, but the peaks of Wildcat Mountain were shining in the sun. Framed 9x12" oil on panel painting in a 14x17" gold-toned, wood frame.

I started painting this outdoors on the most delicious autumn day on Ammonoosuc Lake. Warm, sunny weather combined with beautiful autumn colors made this one of the best days of the season.
