The profile of Mount Webster as you approach from the west is very distictive. It looms over Crawford Notch and looks gorgeous framed by tall hemlocks along the shore of tiny Ammonoosuc Lake. The fullest greens of summer were on view when I painted this scene on a cloudless day. The mountain and forests were flawlessly reflected in the glassy waters of the lake.
