Moss-flecked ocks and winding old tree roots. There are so many interesting shapes, colors and textures to explore just in these small snapshots of nature. This oil on panel painting is of a beautiful yellow birch found along a rocky stream bed. The soft grays and golds of the birch's bark paired perfectly with the greens and blues of the lichen and moss-spotted boulders.
