The White Mountains of New Hampshire are not full of ancient stone monuments crafted by the hands of humans, but there are monuments left by the mile-high ice sheet that once passed over this region. Carved-out valleys, scraped-over mountain peaks and erratic boulders dot the landscape. This interesting 'castle' of rock with its crown of trees was spotted along a trail and highlighted by a ray of sunlight.
